19 Jail Employees Suspended for Watching Porn, etc, on the Job, but what about those “staff”?

I just found this article…

Have you guys, as prisoners in mental institutions, ever seen “staff” watch porn on the job? Have you seen them browsing Facebook or other non-job surfing when they’re supposed to be working?

I bet every single one of you has! All of you who have been locked up in those places!

I remember they did a lot of that at Walden Behavioral Care and at McLean Hospital also. I witnessed “staff” at McLean spending more time on their own personal cell phones than time spent doing their jobs. This was early in 2011, I’d say the first three weeks of January, on N Belknap 1.

On the Thoreau unit of Walden, I also witnessed this. I remember having to interrupt the night staff while they were listening to music on their cells.

Also, many of the “sitters” at MGH and at Mount Auburn spent hours yapping with their friends in non-work activities. Several yapped for the entire shift while they “sat” near me (always too close). One even used my hospital landline nonstop for eight hours. When I got the bill for that phone I didn’t pay it. I was too disgusted.

So? When will they get suspended? Doubt it. They’ve likely all gotten promotions.

Prison guards and psych unit staff are the same thing, by the way.
